Welcome.
theEducationCollective was born out of the need for easier communication. Designed with groups like Governing Bodies, Professional peer to peer support groups or Fundraising committees - particularly, but not exclusively, those relating to the Education Sector.
The service takes the form of a hosted online community with essential, easy to use tools such as discussion forums, document libraries and secure email. All the administration takes place on line and is completely secure and simplified by the use of groups to manage access to different categories within each of the tools.
Meetings can be completely arranged online, including tools to indicate intended attendance and gather documents together.
Users can customise the system to suit them, choosing which content to be alerted to via an email, including selecting individual discussions.
There are several big advantages over using just email to communicate with large groups:-
- No one person needs to maintain a central list of email addresses or member contact details, members can update their own details online as changes occur.
- These contact details can be kept confidential, members do not need each others contact details in order to communicate.
- Discussions are more organised, replies do not cross each other and result in split threads in conversations.
- New members joining the group have access to the entire archive of discussions and documents that have taken place before they join.
Groups that have been using theEducationCollective website to conduct their ongoing business have found that it reduces the administration time needed to organise large groups, but helps with membership retention and recruitment. Some groups have also found that it can generate significant income through sponsorship to help fund meeting venues and subsidise membership fees.
From small groups such as a school Governing Body to large county-wide or national support networks, theEducationCollective can transform the way members interact for the better.
