Local School Business Management Networks
We provide an online community to over 30 SBM networks. The platform not only delivers communication tools for members to use to network and get support, but it also helps to streamline the job of running the network by acting as an MIS system and contact database.
Because we support so many groups we are also able to offer a host of support, advice and additional services to help.
Schools and Multi-Academy Trusts
Our experience of working for and with schools and MATs mean that we are in a great position to offer support and advice on IT strategy and CPD / mentoring of your technical teams.
We also offer a governor portal and a MAT collaboration portal that can drive paperless meetings and help you keep on the right side of GDPR.
Governing Bodies
We know the challenges of being a School Governor, Chairing a Governing Body and working in a school supporting and working with the Governing Body. Our online Governor Portal can be tailored to your school / trust, helping organise and deliver paperless meetings, complete document archives and record the statutory information schools are now required to provide. We can even help with the mammoth task of keeping track of your policies.
Set up is quick and easy, we do everything remotely for you including setting up a URL, hosting and customising the portal to match your school identity. A single portal can be used to support several local governing bodies across a MAT or federation, with everything kept secure so it is only visible to individuals on the relevant sub-committee or working party.

We provide online communities and help organise events for numerous support networks up and down the country and we have built tools onto our software to offer sponsorship and exhibitor opportunities to suppliers who sell to the education sector. The majority of these networks are for School Business Managers, who are the front line of procurement in schools.
Not only can we put you in touch with those groups wishing to engage with suppliers for these purposes, but in many cases we act as the agent on their behalf.

theEducationCollective was founded in 2006 by Neil Limbrick. Initially set up to provide online communities to school business management networks, because of demand and a will to support schools and education as much as possible, it has now grown to encompass a much wider range of services.

Neil has been in education for 24 years undertaking various strategic IT roles in schools and MATs with particular success in developing systems to improve functions and effeciency.
